Minden, Nevada - Another Syncon Homes Foreclosure.
Did
Syncon Homes tell recent homebuyers that the project
was going into foreclosure? Foreclosures don't happen
overnight and it seems like something that homebuyers have a right to
know so they can make informed decisions.

relationship between Clear Creek Tahoe & Syncon Homes?
Now,
we see that the
property taxes on most of Clear Creek Tahoe
(aka Clear Creek Ranch)
are in arrears, like
we find on some Syncon Homes tracts. Click

Did
Clear Creek Tahoe personnel tell recent golf membership
or prospective housing buyers that the property taxes weren't paid on the majority
of Clear Creek Tahoe? It doesn't happen overnight and it seems like
something prospective buyers need to know to make informed decisions.

SHODDY Syncon Homes
House
"La Costa at Monte Vista"
in Minden,
Nevada
Construction
Defects - Code Violations - Shoddy Workmanship
We
are the unfortunate buyers of a new house in
Minden, Nevada. It was built by Syncon Homes, a new home
builder in Nevada and California.1 We call it "unfortunate" because
we've discovered that it was built with many hidden and severe violations of
the Building Codes and dire deviations from Syncon Homes'
own County-approved Building Plans.
These
violations have
resulted in many serious Construction Defects that some have
called "Life-Safety
Hazards" and "Fire
Hazards." It has
engendered great fear in us for the health, safety and welfare of anyone who
lives in, lives near, passes by or visits the house.
By
the way, be
sure to visit our latest page about one of Syncon Homes' serious
construction defects:
We
would have found no need for this website had Syncon Homes acted appropriately to honor the warranty and resolve their seriously defective construction
in a proper, reasonable and timely manner. Instead, they forced us to repeatedly beg for repairs, over many months, only to be met with:
Inappropriate
Band-Aid repair attempts,
Unnecessary delays,
Despicable denials,
No repairs,
Appalling
behavior,
Offensive
events, and
Shameful
actions
Since
we believe that Syncon Homes has failed to take
appropriate actions to resolve the most dire examples of their
shoddy workmanship, we felt it was crucial to make others aware of real-world
experiences with Syncon Homes that they wouldn't find in the
builder's sales-hype.
That's
why we have made this website available and why we have produced some
videos showing Syncon Homes' shoddy workmanship and despicable
actions. For example, here's our latest video showing a
construction defect that directly affects our ability, or inability,
to live in the house.
The
videos clearly show a construction defect that has affected us for three consecutive winters as of the 2009/10
Winter season. We think it's clear that Syncon Homes
has been unable to employ the skills necessary to fix the problem and that it may speak very poorly of their
claimed status as a "professional" home builder and their
treatment of a homebuyer.
In
any case, they now claim that the defect is fixed . . .
in spite of the evidence shown in the video. What do you think
that says about Syncon Homes? We certainly have our opinion.

Knowledge
is our Intent
Our
intent is to provide an informational and educational resource to make evident our
experiences with Syncon Homes and the personal devastation that shoddy construction can cause anyone. We will exhibit some of the
construction defects created by
Syncon Homes along with their subsequent actions that not only played a role
in the defects but also compounded their dire effects on us.
You
will have the opportunity to form your own opinions about:
The
poor workmanship in a Syncon Homes house,
How
Syncon Homes' actions have endangered our health,
safety and welfare,
How
Syncon Homes violated their
written promises to us,
How
Syncon Homes failed to honor their warranty with us, and
How
Syncon Homes has acted after they forced us to hold them
responsible for their failures.
We
will
showcase:
The Construction Defects
found in our house,
The
Installation Instructions Syncon Homes disobeyed,
The
County-approved Building Plans Syncon Homes they violated,
The
Building
Codes Syncon Homes dishonored, and
Syncon
Homes' inappropriate & inadequate "Band-Aid on a
Bullet Wound"
approach to repairs and customer service that we have
experienced.
These
are all issues that any prospective homebuyer, regulatory
agency, elected official, legislative body and/or other
interested party should be aware and concerned, particularly in
light of Consumer Reports revelation that . . .
Homebuyers
"have more consumer protections for a fickle $20 toaster
than for a flawed investment-of-a-lifetime."
This
quote comes directly from a report about the extent and
consequences of defectively constructed houses in
America. It was authored by Consumer Reports and is
entitled, "Housewrecked."
It
is our desire to impart
knowledge that future homebuyers
can use to help them avoid the quagmire of
heartache and personal devastation
that Syncon Homes has caused to engulf our lives.
If we can help just one family, whether they're considering a house
from Syncon
Homes or something from another builder, we'll feel that
we've had a positive effect on the future. We'll feel that our personal
devastation wasn't without purpose.
If you later find that we were of some small help to you in any way,
please drop a note to us at our
email address. We've already heard from other people we have
helped. We would enjoy hearing from you, too!
Evidence
of the Devastation
caused
by Syncon Homes
As
you travel through the pages on our website, you
will discover photographic evidence, installation documents,
statements from industry-related people, truthful observations and reasonable
evaluations that you likely won't hear from Syncon Homes.
Here are a few more videos to introduce some of the
defective construction and code violations we've found in our Syncon Homes-built
house. They're
discussed in greater depth on this website, but some say a picture
is worth a thousand words and a video is worth a thousand pictures, so we've made them available
on this page.
You
may subscribe to be notified of future video additions featuring Syncon
Homes.
We
hope you enjoyed the videos, but we also trust that you will take
the opportunity to continue to our website pages. They contain valuable information for anyone seeking insight
into construction defects, a company named Syncon Homes, their behavior and a house that they built.
With the advice from your chosen advisors and other informational
sources, please use the evidence we have provided on our website to form your own opinion
about Syncon Homes and/or the issue of defective construction and
its effect on homebuyers.

enlightening.
If
you would prefer to go to Syncon Homes' corporate site, or if you
would like to see what they say about themselves, we'd also like
to offer a link to them as we have done from the beginning. However, Syncon Homes changed their server to

them and to do your due diligence.

Syncon
Homes, their officers, principals, employees and any of their
subcontractors ARE NOT
the direct subject of the statements found in the "Thoughts for the
Day" section.
We'd
like to stress that our website is not about money. It's not
for sale and we're not using it to make money. Nowhere on this
site will be found any products for sale, advertisements,
click-through advertising links or donation requests. Instead, it's
simply about Right versus Wrong.
We're
in the right to expect the house that Syncon Homes built for us at
least meets
the minimum standards of habitability defined by the building
codes. We're also in the Right to expect the quality that they
promised as "superior," and to get the house that we
contracted to buy and ultimately paid
for. We're in the
Right to expect Syncon Homes to stand behind their
product, honor their warranty and to resolve their failures without subjecting
us to emotional torture, despicable actions, unconscionable delays
and the personal consequences of their shoddy workmanship.
Conversely, it's
Wrong for Syncon Homes to provide us with a
house that fails to meet the minimum standards, to refuse to resolve their shoddy
workmanship without requiring us to pursue lengthy
Construction Defect litigation and to require us to live with the frightful
health, life and
safety consequences of their defective construction.
It's
simply about Right vs. Wrong.
ATTENTION:
GOVERNMENT
REPRESENTATIVES & REGULATORY AGENCIES
The
issues discussed on this website, partially shown in our videos and
highlighted in the investigative news reports have been made as a
petition for your use and action. If
any Nevada, California or any other State or Federal legislators or regulatory agencies wish to contact us, we may
be reached at our
email address. We'll respond without delay and provide
you with any information, perspective and/or evidence that you
need.
For governmental agencies still struggling with protecting the
health, welfare and safety of their communities from
anti-consumer/homeowner assaults from the building industry, please
take a moment to view this video. It reveals another current political
action designed to right the wrongs perpetrated against citizens
by the building industry.
Homebuyers
across this land need the protection of a "."
It's an issue that crosses all political, social, economic and
racial lines. Please
take the legislative, enforcement and/or regulatory actions needed
to protect the financial & personal health, welfare and safety
of your family, friends, neighbors, constituents and communities!
Some
governmental entities & legislators may be interested
in hearing that, on May 16, 2009, one state saw fit to protect
their constituents from an orchestrated builders' assault on
homeowners and their communities.
The 2009 Nevada State Assembly killed two Senate Bills, No. 337
& No. 349, designed to keep builders from being held
accountable for their defective construction, fraudulent building
practices, and the personal devastation they have forced on
victimized homeowners.
ATTENTION:
2009 NEVADA STATE ASSEMBLY & JUDICIAL COMMITTEE MEMBERS
We'd
also like to offer thanks to the 2009 Nevada State Legislators who
recognized the need to protect homeowners and communities from the
consequences of defective and often fraudulent building practices.
We'd like to thank them for their foresight, understanding,
compassion and integrity they displayed when they stood up to the
pressures applied by building industry lobbyists that would have
seriously harmed homeowners, our communities and the general welfare
of the State of Nevada as a whole.
