WHO IS SYNCON HOMES?
After reading about the many construction defects
built into our home, it begs the question of who is really responsible for
building such a product? "Syncon Homes" is just the name
of a company. The true people responsible would be the company
officers, owners, license holders, and/or decision makers that make-up the
organization. As in any responsible company:
The credit for their triumphs and
the responsibility for
their failures
ultimately lies with them.
Who are the
responsible people at Syncon Homes?
The top people can be identified through the
Nevada State Contractors Board. It's a public information source
that names the company officers and license holder.
These are the people who are ultimately responsible for the condition of all products they
produce, the conduct of their employees, and their promises to prospective
Syncon home buyers.
If you CLICK
HERE, you
will find the Nevada Contractors Licensing
Board. Just search for Syncon by name. In summary, the website
reports that the management of Syncon Homes
consists of the following people:
-
LEMKE,
MICHAEL JOHN, President
-
HANLY,
LEO A. ("Chip"), Chairman
of the Board
-
HANLY,
DONALD IRVING, Vice
President
-
HANLY,
BRIAN LEO, Vice
President
These are the
people who built our house. They may not have hammered a single nail
in our home, but they are the people who are ultimately responsible for
each and every defect we've listed.
To paraphrase President Harry S.
Truman, "The Buck Stops
with Them."
What they claim
They are the
people who applaud on their website:
-
Their
"commitment to quality,"
-
Their
purpose of delivering the "highest levels of quality,"
-
Their "passion for customer care,"
and
-
Their "pride"
in "building superior homes."
These are some,
but not all, of the written
promises they made to each and every prospective buyer and ultimate
homeowner, including us.
The reality
All of the evidence we've presented
throughout the preceding pages points clearly to a lack of quality in our house
and a "passion for
customer care" by Syncon Homes that has been entirely lacking.
For example, would a "passion for customer care" allow them to make
us live with a bathroom shower that freezes solid in the winter?
They failed to
make true their promises, which is a completely unsatisfactory
situation.
How should
they feel?
Instead of
the pride that they laud on their corporate website,
we believe pride is the last thing they should feel! They should not
be proud of:
-
Their
lack of good workmanship,
-
Their
passing of serious defects to their homebuyer,
-
Their
failure to fulfill their written promises, and
-
Their
misrepresentation of their product.
Opportunities
They now
have an opportunity to amend everything we've presented on our
website by doing the right thing. It's just a matter of the
continued presentation of the truth as it unfolds.
They can
take advantage of this opportunity by:
-
Acknowledging
their defects,
-
Correcting
their actions, and
-
Taking
advantage of our offer to them.
It's that
simple, but only time will tell if they will take advantage of
these opportunities. However, we and any future homebuyers
can only hope that it will happen since it would benefit all
parties, including Syncon Homes!
